Following our theme “Listen to the children…. enrich their lives”

We adopted the George J. West Elementary School for a second year to receive our annual collection of gloves, hats, scarves and mitten sets for Boys and Girls from grades K-5.  150 sets for 60 Boys and 90 Girls: five (5) classrooms of 26 second graders (130) sets and 20 sets for 20 fifth graders (5) were donated.  These annual donations help students in our communities stay warm during the winter months.

Here are a few pictures from our school visit to George J. West, Elementary School. There are over 800 students.

We donated to three classrooms of first graders. They were so happy to receive our donations of hats, gloves, scarfs, and mittens. We gave them a brief overview of the Chums and what we do.

The Providence Chapter of Chums membership donates hats, gloves, scarves, and mittens each year to local area Elementary and Middle Schools in the Providence, RI and Southern Massachusetts areas during our annual drive.

We appreciate the cards and letters sent to us by our recipients from the drive. The Principal from the George J. West, Elementary School sent a thank- you note along with student letters and gave us permission to share them with everyone.
